Cullman County offers two medical centers and several private clinics with a wide array of health care services and medical specialties.
With 115 beds, Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a not-for-profit medical center operated by the Cullman Healthcare Authority. Woodland Medical Center is a private100-bed fully accredited acute care facility owned by Community Health Systems.
Special services at CRMC include centers for oncology and rehabilitation and for emergency, outpatient, cardiovascular, maternity, women’s diagnostic, pediatric and critical care. The hospital offers an accredited sleep disorder center as well as centers for diagnostic imaging, pain management, occupational health and outpatient surgery and digital mammography. LifeFirst Oncology Center has state-of-the-art equipment to provide the most technologically advanced care for radiation therapy.
Woodland Medical Center offers the county’s only adult mental illness treatment center, Woodland Hills. Other Woodland services include a physician referral service, emergency room, operating suites, home health care, critical care unit, nuclear medicine, neurosurgery, outpatient surgery, physical therapy, radiology, cardiopulmonary therapy, social and psychiatric services, sleep studies, computer tomography scanning, endoscopy and ultrasound.

| The crime rate in Cullman County is low, thanks to the work down by local law enforcement agencies. Cullman County is served by two municipal police departments, the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers who patrol the highways.
Sheriff Tyler Roden’s office maintains a force of 61 sworn officers, including 32 deputies assigned to seven patrol districts and eight school resource officers.
The City of Cullman is served by a 100-members staff with 48 full time officers and two school resource officers.
