fter 12 years of living in the urban sprawl outside of Atlanta, the Spradlins moved to Cullman because they wanted to feel at home. Terry said he immediately felt the sense of community in Cullman. “The weirdest thing is going to football games on Friday night,” he said. “We don’t have anybody that plays. It’s just that sense of community. The cost of living is less. Atlanta traffic was unbearable, but here it’s neat to be able to go from one side of town to the other in just a few minutes. I have access to the interstate and can go to Birmingham or Montgomery or wherever I have to go.”
Terry and Julie said Cullman also offers a variety of recreational activities for their children 10 year old Jackson, 8 year old Hannah and 4 year old Blake. “Two of the children are involved in recreational sports, so we spend time at the ball fields,” Julie said. “We went to Day in the Park at Heritage Park, and that was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the Cullman County Fair and Hurricane Creek Park.”
The Spradlins are just glad to finally be home.
