Hartselle Medical Center was established in 1948 for the purpose of providing local medical care. Small Town values and well-trained personnel combined with easy access to Metropolitan areas such as Huntsville, Birmingham, Nashville and Atlanta provide Hartselle with a much envied but seldom copied quality of Healthcare. HMC is a progressive acute care facility that provides a wide variety of services including Out Patients, Diagnosis Testing, Surgery Services, Imaging Service: MRI-CAT Scanning, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultra Sound. Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Senior Mental Health, Acute Care for ages 55 and older, Emergency Chemical Dependency Services, Active Community Program for the senior population, and Senior Circle a National Organization. Emergency Services with an In-House Emergency Medicine Physician are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are approximately 200 Full Time Employees. Visitors are treated with compassion and respect. HMC also offers programs to industries as well as Civic Groups for Health Screenings and Community Education Programs. This area is serviced by two nursing homes that house up to 500 patients.

| Hartselle is within 25 minutes of Redstone Arsenal via limited access highways, I65 and I565. Two major highways travel through the center of town, U.S. Hwy 31 North and South and State Hwy 36 East and West serve the city. Interstate 65 travels though Hartselle and offers two convenient interchanges to the city.
Hartselle is home to Rountree Field, the only airport in Morgan County. The Hartselle Airport has a runway length of 3,600 ft. It accommodates small personal aircraft and medium aircraft in support of local industry. Aircraft maintenance, fuel and charter service are provided. On site hangers are available for easy access and storage of personal aircraft.
Greyhound Bus and Commercial Airline service are both available within 20 minutes of Hartselle.

| The Sparkman Civic Center offers a senior citizen nutrition center, which provides entertainment, lunch, outings, free tax service, nurses visits for screening, and music. Senior Adult Recreation Programs are available through the Hartselle Medical Center.
Hartselle is home to Sierra Springs Assisted Living Facility and is within a short drive of the Morgan County Mental Health Association, Summerford Nursing Home, and the North Alabama Regional Council of Governments (NARCOG).
